SOUTHWICK — The first of the Southwick Master Plan focus groups has been scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 5, at 3 p.m. at Southwick’s Town Hall for a discussion among local experts on Southwick’s needs in transportation, public facilities, and services.
Thursday’s session will be the first of several in which experts picked by the Master Plan Advisory Committee will discuss specific topics relating to the current and future needs of Southwick. It will not be a typical public meeting, like previous MPAC meetings have been, but committee Chair Marcus Phelps said that interested residents will be given the opportunity to ask questions or make comments at the end of the session. “The primary participants were those identified by the Master Plan Advisory Committee, but if people in the public are attending, it will be hybrid and they can watch online,” said Phelps. “At the end we will provide the opportunity for any comments and suggestions from the public.”
